We went as a family as a 60th birthday treat for my wife, so we had a 4 and 12-year-old in tow and they never got bored in nearly 5 hours. Thrigby, for a small "zoo", has a wealth of animals, from the mundane -...More

What a fantastic day out. You really get close to the animals and understand what it takes to conserve them. Very much geared to young children too.

We weren't sure what to expect from Thrigby, only hearing beforehand that it was fairly small so we decided to spend the morning there. Ended up staying about four hours! It is very small but for if you like big cats it's definitely worth visiting....More

We visited in April and were pleasantly surprised. I was hesitant to visit as I have fantastic memories of visiting here on school trips when I was younger but I wasn't disappointed and would definitely recommend a visit. There's plenty of other things for the...More

Yes, definitely, there are ramps everywhere and also viewing ramps through the trees to see the animals close at hand. Plenty of room for you but would probably avoid a weekend when there are lots of buggies there!
