Visiting Lord Murugan must be the only reason why anyone should be here. Avoid summer season as it can be very crowded. Unfortunately during my visit, it was peak time. Had to wait 2 hours to get into a winch. Cable car was down and the other option is climbing the steps or walking through elephant path which is free... More

Best to visit during non-festival seasons; the temple is practically empty and you can have the dreamiest darshans of your life; great temple; powerful deity presence; the winch journey is good except that we need to resist the temptation of jumping out and walking down along with it; it is that steady and slow; Hotels around are ok with a... Traveled with family and friends. Reached the top through Winch. There was a drama with traveling by Winch. The time we reached bottom of the temple was at 1pm and it was very hot. Winch counter was little bit crowded, and the brokers utilized our weakness. Normal fare was Rupees 10 & 25, but have to wait in a long... More

One of the best of Muruga temples. Take the time to go there and meditate there. it is a short time only to see the god but you can spend enough time around the temple and to sit and meditate. The Bogar sannithi is very special place. The descendents of Bogar have a pulipani ashram at the base of the... More

Visited Palani Temple along with my family. Was expecting less crowd as it is exam time here in TAmil Nadu. However, we were surprised to see huge crowd. Fearing hot sun, we hesitated to walk by steps and took rope car. After waiting for 50 mins. We got it finally. Due to some auspicious day, pilgrims were just flowing in... More

It's a place lord Murugan is main deity. It's a hill top temple and temple administration providing good facilities to reach uphill like rope car, winch stations. Temple is well maintained but beware of priests they'll ask money by saying that we did a special Pooja for you. One of the best places to visit for lord Murugan

Excellent temple and well maintained. You can reach the temple at the hill top by foot, rope-way or winch. The winch can be pre-booked at the palani temple website and so can darshan / archana tickets be pre-booked. Best time to visit the temple is during school exam or March when the summer is not started and crowd is less.... More
