While crossing through Jowai, we stopped by the lake. It was a nice view, but after experiencing a lot of offbeat points at Meghalaya, it didn't inspired us much.

It is just amazing to sit at the bank of the lake in the afternoon and see the local women coming in groups to collect water and the numerous birds roaming about

Gorgeous lake located next to the NH44 on the way to Jowai. Its usually not well maintained and is quite crowdless. Making it ample spot for picnic and group hangouts who like solitary location. There is a restaurant nearby the lake which also has accomodation.

It's a beautiful lake situated right next to the highway that leads to Jowai. If you walk to the other end of the lake there are a lot of pine trees admist the paddy fields. The greenery is enticing
