This is one of the huge temples in India with five enclosures. The temple is famous for its massive gopurams - around 200 ft height. There are nearly 50 important places to see within the temple. Maps indicating all the important places within the temple are available and useful. It would take at least 2 to 3 hours to reasonably... More

This temple kumbabhishekam ( consecration) was performed recently in early February 2017. The entire place has been spruced up and the ambience is truly divine! the divinity of the God and the temple are legendary. Surtely a 'must visit' for the HIndu devotees of Lord Siva!

This temple complex is huge. Kumbabishegam was done recently and the entire area is maintained well. During the period of our visit, the crowds were nominal. The architecture was a feast for the eyes. One of the must visit places in Tamilnadu.
