About

Take a Step Back in Time
Jul 2019
Hiked a beautiful trail from Le Pianore to Visit the House Museum in Monticello that is an original house that was discovered long after it was actually lived in. The house looks exactly like it did from 1000ad. It was very interesting to see how things were done and how people lived. This was a house of a somewhat wealthy family because they had not only the kitchen but two separate rooms where the family slept. The guide gave our group a private tour. He was excellent and showed us many things in the house. Nearby Is a beautiful, local church that was rebuilt circa 1200ad

Interesting Museum in Quaint Village
Jul 2019
We were staying close by to this village, and the hosts arranged for a visit and translator. Interesting to see how they lived, the tools they used and the beds they slept in. Glad we were able to visit.

visit this old house/museum in the village - very atmospheric with all the old tools, beds and photos unchanged in approx 100 years.
