We visited when the temporary exhibition "Sloth" was there. This was the most interesting part of the exhibitions. It was really good craftsmanship and very inspiring. The permanent exhibition is also very interesting, but much less provoking and creative...in my opinion. We went here with our 9 year old son and there are plenty of activities for entertaining kids. Including... More

We went to Ebeltoft Glas Museum on a sunny day in March to see the exhibition "Sloth" by two mexicans Einar and Jamex de la Torre. It is a mind challenging experience and worth a visit. The small cafe is a wonderful place for lunch - they serve traditional Danish food of high quality and the view to the small... More

Place suitable for all arts and crafts lovers, kids included. Incredible, fragile objects made of glass, located tastefully in museum's rooms. Light of the northern skies emphasises their beauty and admirable technique. You can watch artists in the courtyard blowing new pieces and get lost in this fascinating spectacle. Fantastic experience.

We had approx 3 hours at Ebeltoft before heading towards Aarhus. So we spent half of it at Ebeltoft glasmuseum. It gives an interesting view of what can be done with glass, what can be created out of glass and how it can be done. Very beautiful pieces and a good way to explain and display. Looking at the entrance... More

Probably the exhibits change, but when we visited, the exhibition showing ca five contemporary, established glass artists was really fascinating. Obviously, the pieces has been made with very advanced glass working techniques, and the results were both gorgeous and technically intriguing. The building and cafe are also nice.

Beautify glass art but fairly small museum. Cute town but only needs a short visit. Nice harbour. Not more to add. Would stay in Aarhus but easy drive.

We arrived at the Museum late in the afternoon and spent most of the time between our arrival and closing time looking over the unique glass art in the exhibits. Being from Washington State, I was wondering if our nationally know "local" glass artist Dale Chihuly, might be represented. I was pleasantly surprised to find his work represented in the... More

I was doubtful in entering the museum, because what could a glass museum in a medium size countryside city in Denmark offer? I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the permanent exhibits and in particularly the new extended exhibition "fake" made me a believer. Glass is art it is beautiful and it has a voice. This is not just vases and... More

Interesting place for all ages (kids 13, 9 & 3). The kids really loved seeing how glass art was made. Restaurant a little expensive but high quality natural/organisasjoner food/drinks. Entrance fee not bad. Spent about 1,5 hour.
