One of the few sandy beaches in Malta. Large stretch of sand against shoreline sea horses gently rolling in waves. Perfect for morning and sunset walks with fabulous views of the whole I'd Melieha bay .

Nice clean beach, but very busy. Sun beds and umbrellas for hire and a shop selling lilos, beach balls etc. directly on the beach

A long, wide stretch of sandy beach close to good transport links. Nice hotels nearby and water sport centres for snorkelling or scuba diving.

It's beautiful when not to busy otherwise it's soooo crowded in high season. Avoid mid June to end August if you want to have some relaxing time on the beach. Sun bed and umbrellas can be hired. Beach bars cater for simple tastes but good prices and food is good. Toilet facilities limited and not the best. No public fresh... More

Love Ghadira beach (not Mellieha beach), it's beautiful but there's one big problem that ruins it: the kiosks (food and umbrella/chair rentals). These groups (in the brown huts and the continuously encroaching massive white lidos) can be loud and obnoxious, taking up more and more of the beach with their junk everytime I go. The food vendors are dumps that... More

But i was able to make it to the sea in one spot and go for a dip. It was an easy 15 min walk from the town nearby with many busses taking you back up. (I walked... More

A reasonable, sandy beach with restaurants, watersports and barbecue facilities/ Can get seaweedy, but the beach does get cleared. Signs banning dogs from the beach are routinely ignored on a daily basis.
