We stayed a nite in Bentong on Sunday therefore nothing much to see. Better come by Saturday for the night market and stay a nite for the morning market on Sunday morning. Visited on June 2020.

Bentong, located at Pahang, closed to Genting Highland, just about 38 km, and about 80 km from Kuala Lumpur ... This small town, surrounding by hilly mountain very unique ... This area very famous with Musangking durian farm, specially when the durian season festival ...

Food is delicious in Bentong. Prices are reasonable. Bentong Walk on weekend or weekday day and night is full of good food. Head down here for a weekend getaway or an excursion from K, you will have pleasant finds!

Bentong Walk is located at Jalan Chui Yin every Saturday, allowing youths in Bentong have a chance to start their own venture, also allowing people who have working outside of Bentong can come back to their respective hometown to help Bentong’s economy. Bentong has about 118 years of history, there is 3 old streets and the village there, each of this place consist of their own history and culture. But now the times has change, a lot of young people thinks that Bentong is lack of working opportunity, additionally Bentong is very near to Kuala Lumpur (capital city of Malaysia). After they graduate they have left their hometown and move forward to city life and only the past generations are left here. Recently, tourism has help Bentong to find a new vision, which is develop “Bentong Walk” to help the youths there, a new way to help their income. Under the cooperation from Dato Sri’ Liow Tiong Lai, hoping through the combination of arts, culture and food, changing an historical street into Bentong Walk, bringing a whole new life in Bentong. 文冬老中青三代共同努力打造的“文冬文化街”,每周六将在崔贤街设摊,为文冬年轻一代提供创业机会,也协助常年在外的游子回乡找出路,与乡亲一起推动经济动脉。 文冬在先贤已故陆佑开埠迄今有118年的历史,文冬市区的3条百年老街及分布在文冬各地区的新村,蕴藏着文冬丰富的人文历史和民族文化,也是本地经济的命脉,培育英才的摇篮。 随着时代的变迁,许多年轻人仍觉得发展潜能匮乏,就业机会有限,加上靠近吉隆坡大都会,许多年轻人毕业后皆迁往城市,家乡只剩下老幼。 然而近期来旅游业为文冬找到了新方向,注入了一股新风气。所以延续这方向,文冬一群青年提议打造“文冬文化街”;由前任文冬区国会议员拿督斯里廖中莱的配合下,希望透过文化、艺术、美食等的结合,把百年老街摇身一变成了【文化街】,替文冬重振昔日风采、…
