There is a lovely cycle path from Ware to Hertford along the river lea. It gets a little busy over the weekends, but it's a great place to take the dog for a walk

We are walking the whole navigation in sections and it is ideal that the railway runs along the route allowing us to return to where we started.

We came down the towpath following a "Treasure Trail" with the family. It was asunny day and the children enjoyed rabbits in a field, goslings, ducklings and lots of wild life.

Walked along the banks between Ware and Stanstead Abbotts. Good scenery, long boats both moored and travelling the river were interesting, as was the Lock at Stanstead Abbots. A good walk in nice weather and pubs and refreshment available at both ends.
