Be sure to look at other reviews to get really directions. After a long ride on a bumpy dirt road, you'll reach the parking lot. It's a short hike down to the falls. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes as it's a rocky hike. The main pool by the waterfall is very refreshing. Don't miss the pools above the... More

I mostly want to correct some out of date or inaccurate information that appears on other posting. We were at the falls yesterday, March 11, 2017. Also please note that I am a 75 year old male in reasonably good shape who likes adventure and the outdoors. Directions for Cabo: This is an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from Cabo---a... More

A beautiful, tranquil respite from the madding beach crowds at Cabo. Santiago is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours from Cabo San Lucas. You drive past San Juan del Capo through a sere desert landscape. Take the exit to Santiago. As you enter the town, the road is lined with rows of tall trees on either side. At the end... More

We heard about the waterfalls and decided to take a day trip from Los Barriles. We looked on-line for directions and the ones we found were horrible. But after several back- tracks we found it. A beautiful site but a little cold for swimming. The only downside was that they do not allow dogs to go to the waterfall which... More

A short (10/15 minutes) path through the beautiful landscape takes you to the waterfall. The pond has crystal clear, very cold water (it was not that hot on the day so we did not swim in it), surrounded by big boulders, low vegetation and tall cacti. The water runs through the rocks and a little downstream there is a small... More

Rancho Sol de Mayo does have the beautiful waterfall which is spectacular and a refreshing anomaly - something unexpected in the Baja Sierras. In addition to this feature, you will be able to meet several Xolos, the hairless, national dog of Mexico. The official name is Xoloitzcuintli. In the early 1950's this 3,500 year old species almost became extinct but... More

The best place we've been in that area. I could stay there all nine days. Clean, with a easy access (even tough is far from the cities, a car ride is enough to get there) and BEAUTIFUL.

We drove to the falls from San Jose del Cabo. Like other reviews the drive is half the fun especially once you are on the dirt road. The falls are nice and the hike is fine just note it is steep in places and about a 15 minute walk from where you park your car.

So I have been a few times here. It's fun. You get to hike and see beautiful scenery. I have gone with friends and family a few times. But after my Visit there this last time i noticed my front license plate was missing. My friend who is a local immediately said it was probably taken at the falls while... More

Adobe cabins, fascinating landscapes and gracious hosts, Sr. de la Pena and Sra. Celeste, greet you as family. Their rancho is stunningly beautiful with native landscapes in an eco-system like none other. The short walk to the river canyon is easy and when you come upon the first view of the waterfall far below, it takes your breath away. Then... More
