Lovely buildings - but not much else
The place was impressive due to the lovely colourful buildings - but would I fly half way round the world to see it?- no. If you’re in the neighbourhood do have a look. After about 7pm most of the shops are closed. Touristy places like Kopitiam restaurant are open - and full of tourists (food okay and cheap relative to western standards but better value could be found on the streets close by)

    Street with rich culture!
Old Phuket Town is a place with a mixture of modern art along with traditional architectural and you can easily spend a good 2- 3 hours walking around this area. There are plenty of food options around here, ranging from street stalls, to Pubs and Cafes. You find that you are really spoiled for choices when you are walking around here. There are also lots of things to buy and shop, ranging from hand made souvenirs to clothing that is exclusive to Phuket and nice beach wears around here. The Phuket Old town gets a little more hyped up from 4pm onwards, so this might be the best time to drop by this place. With Grab, it's relative easy to come by here. Lastly, lots of nice walls and arts for OOTD shots, so influencers wannabes, you guys can just spam your OOTD shots around here!

    It's fine...
If you are in the area, it's worth taking the time and walking around. The architecture is very very nice and colorful, and there are some nice places to eat and shop. But otherwise it's just a small area to walk around. If you are staying on the other side of the island, then I'm not sure it's worth the trip (unless you're searching for something to do). I was not there at night, so I don't know if things are different then. IF you decide to go there (and are staying on the other side of the island), then i would recommend taking the public bus. It picks you up from the street fronting the beach, takes about an hour, but only costs $1-2 dollars. It's a nice way to see the surrounding area and is very inexpensive.

We had a driver take us to Old Phuket Town and it was lovely, the buildings are very pretty and it is a lot cleaner looking than other parts of Phuket. We had a lovely lunch downstairs at the Buffer Bar, which was beautiful.

Another wonderful place. Not sure why so many mixed reviews. Highly recommended if you like Old fashioned buildings and culture.

The area to walk around is quite compact and easy on the legs. I would do a bit of research and get an on-line walking guide to give you a bit of context and appreciation. There is some wonderful blends of architecture along with eating opportunities and religious buildings.

This is a great historic walk and well worth the effort. Mix in with a visit to the night markets or a ferry so you're not travelling distance just to do this - add a bit of value, so to speak.

What a great place to walk around during the day with plenty of places to eat and to have a cold drink, beautiful old buildings and wonderful shops. At night the lights are wonderful and heaps of photo opportunities.

There is not that much to see. We took the bus from Karon beach to Phuket for 40 Bath and than we took the bus to Patong for also 40 Bath. Don't take the bus in a rush-hour after school, the bus can be quite full.

It’s cute but not as big as we expected.
Also not great for shopping. The shops are a bit pricey and they don’t sell local products ( we saw a lot of products from china, europe and so on).
We were hoping to find some local things but no, I guess if you’re looking for shopping you should look for a market.

Busy with lots of pretty, colourful buildings. The shops underneath didn't seem to offer anything amazing - tourist wear, souvenirs, etc - but it's nice to browse. There are lots of photo opportunities and there's always a cafe or massage place to drop in to if it's too hot or it's raining. There are even toilets down little side alleys which I was expecting to be pretty poor but they were clean and more than acceptable. I was dropped off but parking didn't look great.

Wonderful experience in the Old Town. Very lively nightlife and a freindly environment. The Lard Yai market on sundays is a must if you are travelling to Phuket as there are many affordable shops here, and young performers singing and playing instruments.

It is more of a late afternoon/evening spot if you want food/bars/nightlife
Day time was crowded, so many great coffee shops and architectural photo ops. Pack an umbrella!
Thalang Rd, Phang Nga Rd, Krabi Rd, Ratsada Rd, Dibuk Rd and Yaowarat Rd is where it's all at.
Catch the Blue Trolley to/from Kata/Karon for 40B each!!!
