The falls is around 20kms from the city center and has an entry ticket to be paid along with vehicle charges. Its a beautiful road taking you through wheat fields and forest area to get to the falls. Winton the month of March, considering that there ain't water, the sight is pure waste as the forest is all dried up, i think the best time to visit shall be monsoon.

As we visited in Janyary there was no water . We just viewed rocks and that was also nice. But after reading so much good about place . Raneh fall is around 20 km from khajuraho western group of temples. The road is nice and goes through wheat fields and takes minimum 30-40 mins. From entry gate the fall is 3 km inside and from raneh fall the Ken gharial sanctuary is again 3 km. You need to have a guide for visiting the ken gharial sanctuary. we... More

After looking for places to visit in Khajurao, we were advised by our Hotel manager to visit Raneh waterfall. One of the beautiful place to see during or after rainy season. During your visit to Khajuraho, must visit Raneh fall. Nice place with lots of greenery and the most beautiful water fall. So they take INR 75 per guide (mandatory)...worth the money as they take you through the falls, show the various stone colors and their meaning, trees, spot alligators and give their binoculars..help in spotting deer, nil gai, jackals and take their quick well aimed pics..also if you are travelling alone, they take good pics (atleast my guide was good with... Most beautiful fall near khajuraho but water fall has a very little water in winters. U can go there in rainy days. It was a very beautiful views to see different types of rocks in fall. Totally good to see this.
