More
The Macadamia Castle has been the areas most popular activity destination for over 38 years. Entry is free to the Cafe, Nut Bar, Gift Shop, Fine Food section and Macadamia Nut information display. There is a daily programme of interactive activities in the Animal Park with over 200 native and farmyard animals. We have hands on experiences with our salt water crocodiles and many other animals. There are 9 keeper talks between 10.30 and 4pm where you can get up close to the animals. An ideal outing for the family, and a great destination when discovering the district. There is a very reasonable admission charge to the animal park and mini golf. A relaxing stop for fresh homestyle food, coffee, kids activities or education.

Stopped for breakfast on the way to Brisbane. We had pancakes, French toast and bacon & egg roll. All meals served in plenty of time.

It cost us $80 for entry to pat and feed a few baby farm animals and kangaroos. The mini golf was below average in my opinion compared to others we have visited and the amenities outside were full of cobwebs and looked like they needed...More

Thanks for coming. Sorry we missed those cobwebs in the park toilets, we are on to that today. From the price you mentioned that would be for a family of 4 or more. That entitles you a full day with half hourly keeper talks and...More

We visited with our 3 young children in early January 2018. The entry price is way to much for the value you get. I understand the costs that would be associated with running a zoo like this and the need to charge the money they...More

Thanks for your comments and for visiting. I'm not sure of your qualifications in Macropod diets and welfare but I can promise you we have well qualified and caring staff. They have decades of experience between them. Our keepers use the husbandry manuals on the...More

We visited Macadamia castle on New Years Day and are grateful that it’s open. It’s a cloudy day and there’s good shade from both trees and resting places within the park. The children had a fabulous time learning about koala, wombat and native birds through...More

My daughter and I stopped here on the way to Byron. We enjoyed the experience, especially patting the rabbits and feeding the baby animals. The food was quite nice, with huge serving sizes.

This place has now been bypassed by the new motorway. It seems a little run down - especially the toilet area. There was a disgusting large puddle outside the ladies toilets - which are inside! So you cannot help but get wet feet. The ladies...More
