I never dreamed I'd see giant Sequioa Redwoods in Belgium, but I did! This enormous arboretum has trees from not only North America, but from several countries in South America, China, Japan, and others. Even better, there is a statue by Auguste Rodin right out in the open. This gorgeous piece of art is called Les Bourgeois de Calais, and... More

For those interested interested in Ancient things, Mariemont offers ancient artifacts from the local area as well as things from Egypt, Italy and even China! While it can't match the cinquantenaire Museum in Brussels for size but it certainly puts up a fight where quality is concerned. Park is nice too. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!

(first sunday of... More
