It's easy to get here with underground and bus. The museum is huge. Regular exhibition and right now exhibition with Finnish female painters. It's a bliss walking around in the big garden overlooking Stockholm harbour.

I was already familiar with the work of Carl Milles, a favorite sculptor of mine. Many of his sculptures adorn the Cranbrook educational community near Detroit, where he taught for 20 years. Like Cranbrook, Millesgården offers a beautiful environment to showcase his most important works,...More
Millesgarden was the home of Carl Milles and his wife, Karin (also an artist). Much of the sculpture is set in a glorious landscape with views to Stockholm in the distance. Every turn in a path, every level of the terrace brought new delights. The...More
Loved this museum. The sculpture here is extraordinary. And the collection is extensive. Our visit was in mid-October, so all of the fountains were shut off for the season; but the fall colors were beautiful. It's a pretty special place. Also, we went at the...More

Wonderful collection of antiquities, also sculptures set in garden terraces. One can stroll the residence and studio while viewing the wonderful collection. Loved it. A must do when in Stockholm. An easy subway ride and walk from downtown Stockholm.
Fantastic location a short train and bus ride from central Stockholm. Beautiful gardens and statues, many with the sky as their backdrop. Across the river you could hear the faint sound of techno music coming from cruise ships.. Nonetheless, I found the entire experience pleasantly...More
One of Sweden's most renown artists, Carl Milles, build this home and made it into a museum of his sculptures. There are also exhibitions of other artist. It's a beautiful museum and I recommend a visit.
I have always wanted to come here, but never had the time since it's located half an hour from Stockholm city centre. The sculptures are amazingly beautiful and the surroundings are magical. I really recommend a visit to Millesgården.
This is a real gem and could easily be missed if just visiting Stockholm city. However it is easy to get to by public transport or by car. Apart from the fantastic sculptures there is currently a really nice art exhibition. Well worth a visit...More
