My husband and I went into the Tourist Information office on four different occasions while in Røros and received friendly assistance each time we visited. The help provided by the folks at the Røros site was appreciated and made our fabilous, stay in Røros even better.

I wasn't impressed by the Tourist Information here. Røros itself is a quaint and charming town with well preserved history. However the staff at the counter does not take the initiative to introduce the attractions here. There are many brochures around here for one to grab and go if necessary. Nothing much more than that. There is a toilet here... More

Hi Euro_Jon 1234. We are very sorry that we gave you this bad experience, because this is not how we should act towards anyone. There are no excuse for a Tourist Information or a Deli for such behavior. I hope you will give us a new chance some day, and that you then will find the Tourist Information and the... More

Roros is small so it's not very difficult to find your way. The tourist office has a map and some basic info.. but not much self initiative coming from the people working there. They answer the question but thats it.

The tourist information organizes walking tours with excellent guides. I do this tour every time I come here, and not two of them have ever been the same, thanks to guides with different knowledge and different interests. I highly commend taking this tour, and then go back to see more yourself later.

They have a lot of brochures that you can take for free and have a look at almost all tourist attractions in Norway. They also carry a number of souvenir items that you can purchase.

We went to the tourist office to buy tickets for a guided tour around town and for the Olav's Mine. However, as we didn't have a car, and the Olav's Mine was 13 km outside town, we dropped it. We did the guided walking tour, which was quite nice. It included a visit to the church as well. At the... More

Family reunion group took a bus out to Røros and spent the day. The people at the information center were very nice. A group of us went on a guided tour and learned about the history of the area. It is a picturesque town and a great place to spend a day.

I was in Roros working on the Femundlopet sled dog race Feb. 2015 and stopped in the information center. The gentleman manning the office was very nice and helpful providing me with a map of the area and of Norway. The town is quaint and welcoming. The race is a big event with the entire town being involved. The main... More
