Spectacular unspoilt waterfall
Oct 2020 • Couples
Unspoilt waterfall (several tiers) in the middle of the rainforest. On the way, you come across several other waterfalls (Lata Jelebus, Lubuk Mecu). Trail is 7.3km long one-way. Park at Kampung Pertak at KKB (RM1 per person payable to local orang also), cross two iron bridges, turn left and then keep right at next junction which leads you uphill (the left way leads to the remote Lata Makau). Two streams will have to be crossed later.

It took us 1 hour to reach Lata Medang at a fast but comfortable pace before rainy season. The grounds will be slippery during and after rain - so caution is advised. Some slopes with an incline of up to 45 degrees have to be managed. The route is long but the terrain is mostly flat. We met families with small children on the way. If you arrive during lunch time or early afternoon, you will have the place for yourself as most people go in the morning.

Daytrip recommended for a hot day
Sep 2019
Perfect hike if you have a full day, best to start early while its still cool and reach the waterfalls when its warmer. Water is chilly and perfect to cool off with. Bring food and enjoy the sights and sounds!
