We took the Batang Kali route from Kuala Lumpur & parked our car at the Hot Springs before hiking to the waterfall.
The early morning drive along the winding road is picturesque and made the journey worthwhile .
From the Hot Springs , we trekked approximately 2-3 km through a reasonably clear trail ( which goes through fruit orchards ) .
There is a lovely & lush bamboo forest which we traversed before reaching the waterfalls .
Several points to note :-
1. One needs to be moderately fit to reach the waterfalls due to the distance & jungle terrain
2. You will have to get your feet wet trekking through slippery rocks etc to reach the falls
3. There is an abundance of leeches & one needs to be suitably attired & equip to deal with this
4. Go early as there is limited parking at the hot springs .
5. Facilities at the hot springs ( toilets etc ) are not well maintained & the canteen there has a very limited menu which seems a tad over priced considering the location.

Entry is RM3 per adult. Toilets are bad. I had to change in the car. Hot spring water is nice and hot. You can have a picnic here too.

Quiet and calm place to enjoy natural hot spring and to have a break from the hustle and bustle of the big city with kids.

I roughly had an idea of how the place would be as my expectations were lower. It is a bit difficult to find this place, but you must have transport. The place is really small, and the parking is limited. There is an entrance fee of RM3 per person.
The pool is divided into 2, a warm pool by the right, kids are playing in this pool, whilst the left pool is a really hot pool, for what many people believe is for therapeutic purpose. We needed some time to get used to the temperature, but it was soothing once you're used to it.
Yes, there are green algae and we did not go into the pool, just soaking our feet. I am surprised at how these people swim and soak their whole body in it.

After your hike you can try out the hot spring pool in hulu tamu.
First 2 waterfall is easy hike while the other 3 require quite a bit or work and climbing. If it's raining it will be muddy. You be crossing quite a number of streams so come with dry bag and prepared to hike with wet shoes. leeches are all around so be prepared for some blood donation to the jungle.

Need more collaboration with society to maintain the place and dont leave any trash everywhere, if you come with friend or family.

Many different pools of varying naturally hot water. The locals submerged themselves in the hot pools but the visitors could barely keep their feet in the pools for a few minutes. Interesting visit and good to see the locals enjoying the natural hot springs.
