Misol-ha waterfall is located in the heart of the Chiapas jungle, 45-60 min drive from Palenque (you can go in one of the many small buses that take visitors every hour). It is worth a visit, the waters fall from 35 meters above. A swim...More

If you are in San Cristobel heading to Palenque, go to jalapeño tours, you can see agua Azul, misol ha, and the palenque ruins for 350 and just stay in Palenque. (Or return to SC but I wouldn't, your starts at 4am if you want...More

This doesn't compare to Agua Azul, but it can be a nice hour or so spent relaxing and swimming. There were plenty of howler monkeys when we visited.

In a place filled with waterfalls, this is a great one. You can swim right up to it and walk behind it. Very fun visit.

This is a nice waterfall to appreciate nature and this is the site where Depretator movie was filmed. It is very deep, although there are life vests for rent, however there are rocks and could be difficult to get in. If you are looking for...More

It's a nice place to stop at if you're going from Palenque to San Cristobal (or vice versa), but not really special enough to visit just for the waterfall. I would say 20 minutes is enough, unless you decide to get into the water.

A really cool waterfall. You have to pay two fees to get here, after a tortuous drive along a road that is still being repaired. You could view the waterfall from one area, then walk along to get almost behind it. Signs actually have rules...More

Perfect photo opp. Great place for a quick pit stop to/from Palenque (in fact much better than Agua Azul - read my review). Wife & kids loved the experience of going behind the waterfall and getting wet. Perfect to cool down the summer heat. Mishol...More

Being from the Pacific Northwest this was very similar to a Columbia River Gorge waterfall - but the water was warm enough to swim in! Also, the cave at the top has another waterfall and we waded to the back of the cave to explore....More
