Lovely spot

I'd recommend doing the forest walk and going to the little hidden waterfall pool. We managed to have it completely to ourselves for a while.

Had a time limited visit to the gorge. Included in the $9 entry is a regular shuttle bus up to the start of the easy walk to the main sections for viewing or swimming. The sounds and sights of rushing mountain water is always invigorating. Quite a few people were visiting on this Wednesday morning. There don't seem to be... More

Upon recommendation (due to limited time) we went to Mossman Gorge instead of Daintree and Cape Tribulation. We had a lovely walk in the rainforest and visited waterholes. Recommend you go early in the day as there arent as many people on the walking trails or in the water holes. As we were finishing looking around we noticed more people arriving.... More

The new overhead walkway has greatly improved access to this rainforest walk and gives great view of the habitat; look closely in the streams and you might see a snake; we did. Recommend walking shoes if you choose to do the whole circuit leading from the walkway.

Well worth the drive from Cairns to Mossman to see this wonderful area, with the whole family including kids, parents, grand parents, or couples and travel buddies. Well tacked and signed, as well as plenty if tours to help you appreciate the area.

We had a lovely afternoon at Mossman gorge. We started at the cafe, which I highly recommend - great barramundi burger! We then walked around the rainforest which takes about an hour or so. Then we went on the Dreamtime walk with one of the guides, which I'm really glad we did. An unforgettable, informative experience.

Beautiful spot. You park your car at information centre, pay entry fee ($10.50/ adult, money goes toward local Aboriginal community and centre employs many locals), take a bus for 5 minute drive to the start of the walking tracks. Easy access for mobility impared, low floor bus and wheelchair accessible path as far as the river. Loop walk through the... More

Access to the gorge is by shuttle bus which is reasonably priced considering there is no entrance charge - you can walk from the visitor centre but it is about 4km each way and you will want to walk round the gorge when you get there so in total it could be about 12 km. The visitor centre is very... More

To think that this place is on our doorstep, living in North Queensland. Mossman Gorge is a very special and beautiful place. If you are into nature and walking you will love this place.
