Only nice view
Sep 2019 • Family
Not worth visiting the museum as nothing much interesting. But a nice view since it located on a small “hill”.

Must-Visit at Sungai Lembing
Sep 2018 • Couples
Located on top of a hill, the museum is very well maintained and comfortable for visitors. The information provided will give you a good understanding on why Sungai Lembing is considered a historical site and hopefully make you appreciate the town even more.

Small museum, warm and not well upkeep cleanliness. We spent very short time in this place, a lot of good historical display but no more of information.

Worth the climb!
Mar 2018
Need to climb all those steps to reach the top. But it is worth the effort in order to catch a glimpse of the early Malayan tin mine era. Should be combined with a visit to the actual mine nearby.

Very informative

Tin mining was once one of the major economic activities in Malaysia. Due to its low market price, companies involved in tin mining stopped their operations. To understand better about the mining industry, the Museum Sg Lembing displayed all items related to tin mining. It’s one of the well managed museums in Malaysia. The museum is located in Sg Lembing, Pahang and was once the residence of the General Manager managing the tin mining in Sg Lembing. Items displayed were like the tools used in tin mining, the different types of minerals, replica of the mine at different levels, pictures of the people involved in the tin mining, videos etc. It’s the largest, longest and deepest underground tin mine in the world. Its depth is about 700 meters. There’s quite a number of items to look at. It’s very informative and interesting. There’s also a souvenir shop near the museum.

Inconvenience of taking off shoes!
Nov 2018 • Couples
When we visited, there were bus loads of school kids visiting as well. We did not bother to enter the museum even though we paid cos we saw hundreds of pairs of shoes outside on the road. Sorry! Not taking off shoes to go in! So we walked around the museum. Loved the view of Sungai Lembing town from the hill the museum was located.

Great museum and information mining activities during the heyday in Sg.Lembing. the museum itself is a cultural beauty of architecture. Rich in history and can imagine those days. Love it. A place to go. Clean, refreshingly good air and cost.

Mining History in malaysia
Oct 2018 • Friends
Sungai Lembing located about 30km from the state capital of Pahang, Kuantan. Its a " dead end" town n a history of the early mining activities by the British in early 1900s.The mining stopped in about 1980s when the cost is too high n nothing more to mine. The museum located up a hill in a bungalow which once housed the British bosses under the now defunct Pahang Condolidated Co.Ltd. Good info on the history of the town n how it got its name. Good for history seekers. Entry fee is only rm2.00 Parking is available n a gift shop too. Well lighted n informative.

A capture of Sg Lembing Mining Glory
Aug 2018 • Family
After the hike, we stopped by at this museum due to the posters around Sg Lembing town. Entrance fee is very minimal

Assessibility
There is a path way going uphill towards the museum after entrance, hence need help for those with walking inconvenience

Verdict
Lovely the simplicity yet effective presentation of Sg Lembing history. Kids enjoyed the educational visit very much.

If lucky to visit when the "sakura-like" tree in blossom, it is really amazing

Do go and visit

Fun learning.

If you're someone who loves to know about the history of the place, it is good to pay a visit to the museum. You'll know how the town was during their prime era. You'll get to know about the tools used for mining and also get to see the layout of the used to be their manager's house which is now the museum. There's more to it so you guys can just go and experience yourself.
