Dora is an excellent guide with great knowledge about the trees, plants and animals. Very friendly she helped us also with calling a cab.

We spent a wonderful morning at the garden and experienced so many types of plants and vegetation. Dora was our guide; she is fluent in English and made our tour special as she shared her enthusiasm and knowledge. This is a hidden gem in the coffee region!

The guided tour is nice. Wear comfortable shoes, there is a lot of walking. It's nicely maintained. Just feel that the price is a little high for what they offer.

A wonderful way to watch the nature and to learn about it. During a three hours walk the local instructor showed us the various plantation and all kinds of birds, butterflies and insects. Bring your camera with you, you’ll get a huge amount of great photos!

Although we didn’t see hummingbirds, I did see lots of other birds, small mammals, praying mantis, huge spiders all whilst on the nature walk. The butterfly house was the highlight as you get to pick up many different butterflies. My only complaint was that because it’s a guided tour, you feel like you’re being rushed the entire way. Constantly being moved along every section.

We found much more than expected in this nature reserve near Armenia and Salento, which we visited primarily for the butterfly-shaped butterfly house. We enjoyed a jungle walk, including on a bridge over a gulley; climbed up a tower to the canopy; watched birds and agoutis eating laid-out plantains -we sat behind a one-way window - and we walked around two museums, as well as seeing the butterflies. Our (required) English-speaking guide had excellent replies to our many questions.

To visit the Botanical Garden is quite an experience! You walk through the jungle with a guide that explains every plant you see. Go up to the mirador to see the view. And don’t miss out seeing the Mariposario with all the beautiful butterflies

We went midweek and had a very intimate tour group, this place isn’t like most North American botanical gardens where you wander at your own will, instead you go with a guide who is very knowledgeable. We saw some funny little rodents, squirrels, many colourful birds, and gorgeous Colombian flora. The butterfly exhibit was definitely the highlight, not only because of the butterflies but also the turtles which we were able to get up close and personal with!

Sin embargo en el bosque natural del Jardín habitan ejemplares de muchas y muy diversas especies de fauna silvestre, de manera natural y armónica; por lo cual, con la intención de preservar ese estado de no perturbación
