It is located in Câmpina, România. It was build between 1893 and 1896, by Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu, philosopher and writter, în memoriam of his daughter,Iulia, passed away when se was 19 years. There are here many valuable peintings, documente and old books.

A good thing is that they have audio guides. On Thursdays free entrace and audio guide. Strange prices: usually in Romania nobody uses monetary divisions, except maybe for 1/2 leu (50 bani). Here they ask for 110,08 or something .13 or .58 or .62... Incredible....More

If you are indulgent and know a little bit this great Romanian historian, writer, philosopher, philologist etc and his amazing brilliantly but unfortunate daughter Iulia, you'll discover here a place full of esoteric atmosphere...

There is nothing spectacular about the place. It is a small place compared to other castles I have seen. There are some stairs on top of it where i am sure it will be nice to climb. Unfortunately you are not allowed to do so.
