New air museum is situated next to the Newark Showground site. Excellent displays. Great for children interested in aircraft. Small cafe on site, and small gift shop with interesting items and books. Plenty of parking. Toilet facilities. I particularly liked the Anderson Shelter display, showing what would be inside the shelter, and around the shelter veg growing and rhubarb etc,... More

On entering the museum premises the first port of call is an interesting and varied book, prints and model shop, both new and second hand. This is also where you pay the entrance fee to the museum. There are several aircraft standing outside including the Canberra , Vulcan and an interestingly painted Shooting Star. In the hangers there is a... More

I attended the special Avro day, which was extremely interesting, and included a talk on the Avro aircraft at the museum, followed by a small group visit to the cockpits of four Avro aircraft, including a Shackleton and, of course, a Vulcan. The volunteers were excellent - both helpful and informative. Also time to view the outdoor and indoor static... More

I Came here many years ago and although it was interesting it was small and limited. However on my recent trip i was amazed and the amount of craft and exhibits that the museum now has to show and how far it now stretches. There is so much to see and do for all ages and mobilities. There is an... More

Although the museum doesn't boast an extensive aircraft collection the likes of either Hendon or Elvington the museum houses a significant collection of cold war aircraft. The collection includes a Vulcan Bomber, two Soviet fighters, a Saab Viggen and, my favorite, a Saab Draken along with many other British cold war icons. The collections are housed both indoors and out... More

We visited out of the school holidays so we're able to have a good look around. I have always admired the vulcan bomber so to actually sit in the cockpit of one was a very touching experience for me, the vulcan guide was in his 80's but really didn't look or act it and he really loved that plane. All... More

Walking round there are s number of places to sit down are rest. One of the major attraction is a Vulcan Bomber and if you are lucky you may be invited to climb inside to... More

A very nice air museum, not as big as the likes of Cosford, Duxford and Hendon, but nevertheless, well worth a visit if you are in that part of the country. The internal displays are excellent, with some good interpretation, graphics, etc, telling stories. Some of the planes out side, understandably, are not in such good shape, but there is... More
