In Canberra, there is no shortage of lovely green public open space. This is another of those parks. There is nothing particular to note about it but it is lovely there are so many.

Lake Burley Griffin is there to be enjoyed, especially its surrounds: the parks and gardens, wild and cultivated in turn, from a bike or on foot. It's a special feature of the National Capital.

This is a great spot to just kick back and relax. Good views across the lake, grassed lawns, bbq, toilets and the carillon has a nice chime every 15 mins. No cafes so best to take a picnic lunch and bike to ride around Lake Burley Griffin.

One of the few pretty places in Canberra, King's Park is great on a warm sunny day (so obviously not in winter...) for a BBQ or picnic. Plenty of space and the lake is nice to look at.

King's park offers a nice grassy area and a few benches to overlook the captain cook jet, on the other side of Commonwealth Park. The park has a main walking trail and shared bike path. The park contains or is quite close to numerous other attractions such as Regatta Point, National Galleries, High Court, and National Library, Commonwealth Park, Carillion,... More
