Nice day out for the kids

Our 7 year old loved this place. Main pool not heated. We felt it was rather tired. Poor choice of food in the cafe, rubbish bins overflowing, toilets with non locking doors... read more

Having just spent a day at Jamberoo Water Park last week, I can honestly say Big Splash was better value for money, unlike Jamberoo if you don't want to use the water slides you don't pay for them, it's $27 for the water slides all day and believe me our 14 year old son had lost count how many times... Nice venue for a family day out - if you are expecting wet and wild theme park experience then you are not going to get it - more like a pool with some good slides as side entertainment. Inflatable play ground in main pool was enjoyed as well.

I honestly do not understand why this is so far down the list. It is a fantastic attraction and very well-priced.

We spend a few hours here, our 10yo daughter loved it. There are plenty of shady areas to sit, lots of tables and chairs (you can bring your own chairs but they have some there) and lots of water slides for the kids.

Our 7 year old loved this place. Main pool not heated. We felt it was rather tired. Poor choice of food in the cafe, rubbish bins overflowing, toilets with non locking doors, no way of drying your hands. But ..... nice shady area to sit (we took our own chairs but there were some available), different activities for different age... More

What really concerns me is the big slides. They seem very narrow, the runways at the end are certainly much too narrow and every time the kids have been on them they get bumps and scratches, so they are now off limits. I wonder about their safety. It can get crowded on a hot day, so obviously many people find... More

I had high expectations for big splash. Although it didn't live up to those expectations I was happy with a day out in the sun, running up and down. It is designed for teens and older children to get a bit of a thrill. We raced each other down the slides and definitely had lots of laughs. It's a bit... More

Personally I found this place depressing. The admission prices were really expensive and there were horrid signs before you enter (e.g. 'if you are caught doing xx then you will be ejected from the park immediately, no refunds.' Unless it's a safety issue this kind of sign is unnecessary). The best feature was the inflatable maze which unfortunately had so... More

For $25 you really can't complain. We spent over 6 hours here.... So value for money is awesome when you think about comparable time/activities in the capital. Plus when your season is only three/four months of the year you have to make your money some how. The staff were nice and the food was ordinary but you can bring your... More

Visited the big splash today for a 5 year olds party and a week ago for another kids bday. Can't comment on the slides, shop or big pool but the facilities are great for the little kids. The wading pool is clean and water fresh. The facilities are safe and fun for the kids. Grassed area is well shaded and... More
