For those who love playing with easy relaxing style, here is probably the one to go. Courses are mostly well maintained and stuffs are very friendly. Some greens are hard enough to get you read the undulation and grass. Most of all, the playing fee is reasonable for especially those who are from Japan. I would like to visit and... More

Had a lunch special at this joint probably 12 months ago that was great. The Missus & i called in again yesterday & tried them again & it was not very good at all. Apparently some Cafe called Feast from Manuka has taken over the Bistro & the $10 lunch specials leave a lot to be desired. Lynn had the... More

I'm not a golfer so cannnot comment on the state of the course. However, myself and friends / colleagues have eaten numerous meals at the bistro over the past year or so and they're always terrific. Compared to my recent poor review of a new, 'trendy' Canberra pub, the Capital is everythting you want in a bistro - good food,... More

Played this course 5 years ago when last in Canberra, it was a treat ! What's happened to the Golf Course ??? Such a shame to see it so run down, hopefully will improve, will try another course next visit. 1 shining star was the bistro 10 out of 10 !

The food was MASSIVE. Very impressed with the food and pricing. I had lunch there for a seminar and we ordered 3 x chips and had to leave a bowl behind as it was way huge. I will be definately taking my family there for a food outing again.

Its the 2nd worse dog track that calls itself a golf course I've ever played. Owner just letting it run down to crap so they they can get a development application to change the zoning to residential and amke a buckket of money.

The pitch & putt option at this course is a godsend for my golf-loving son. The fees are quite reasonable and equipment is available for hire for those not bringing their own. The big downside today was the greens. They're not looking their best and between the bare patches and weeds my son (and I) both had our worst games... More

Half the pitch and putt is under construction, only found out once we reached the holes as was not told. Hidden charges with club hire and golf balls. Mini golf course was in horrible condition with one female server was rude and unapologetic about over charging us.

I have been a member for more than 20 years and seen the annual improvement take the course to its current excellent state and the ground staff make sure it stays that way

Capital Golf Course is a great public course. There are a full 18 holes, casual dress rules, and it is very well kept by the greenkeepers. We often head there of a Friday afternoon for a quick 9 holes after work. More experienced golfers may find it a little less challenging than other courses in Canberra but for anyone else... More
