We used the ferrys extensively on our mid week break. Always on time and helpful service to out-of-towners. Just don't understand how the same trip sometimes cost $0.70 and sometimes over $6??

There is the classic Manly ferry but dont limit yourself, do a few different trips and really explore Sydney harbour. Lots of photo ops and dont forget different times of day for those special shots. LOVE the Sydney Ferries get yourself down to Circular Quay.

Great way to view Sydney from the water, very clean and tidy, boats are old but have plenty of room for people with prams , luggage etc. The ferries leave right on time which is good if you are connecting with other transport.

Would use these nice ferry boats even without any specific aim just for the pleasure of using them! Very beautiful view on Sydney Harbour- and we met some nice people from China.

If you are going to Sydney, definitely look into buying the OPAL card for your transportation in and around the city. You will need one card per person. There are several local merchants to buy a card through, even in the mall at Darling Harbour....More
