Went on the walking tour on Sunday the 23rd of April. Had a wonderful lively and knowledgeable tour guide name Indigo who told us many fascinating facts about some important landmarks of Sydney. Walkef from St James to Circular Quay to watch the sunset over the Opera House. A really good time was had by all. Highly recommended.

We did both versions of I'm Free while we were in Sydney - the three hour daytime one, round all the main points of interest in the city centre, and the two hour evening one, which concentrated on the historic Rocks area. Both were brilliant - led by guides who really knew their stuff and were enthusiastic about sharing it.... More

We took part in the morning tour the day after arriving in Sydney. It was run by one of the owners (who previously trained as an architect). In the course of about 3 hours we covered a lot of ground in the downtown area including the Rocks and the circular quays. Overall it was a nice introduction to a very... More

We were lucky enough to be guided by Justine, who is one of the founders. She was very charming, showed infinite patience with my inquisitive son and gave us a very well weighted tour of the central area. When you know very little about the city as we do, it was great to get a grounding in the history of... More

My friend and I made this our first activity in Sydney, so that we can know the attractions before we start looking around, and it was definitely a right decision. Our tour guide Ramsey was so down to earth. He's knowledgeable, funny, and so helpful! You will get to learn many interesting facts and history about Sydney with this tour.... More

We did the morning tour with two young children (one of them in a pram). Justine was our guide and she is simply awesome!! Very knowledgeable and engaging. Great way to visit the Syndey hidden gems. Really really worth doing it the first day.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
