My wife and daughter wanted to take a surfing lesson in Sydney and luckily we found Manly Surf Guide. I contacted Eric the owner and set an appointment for the next day. Eric met us and drove us to a quite beach for their surf lessons. He was patient and explained everything to the girls. By the end of their... More

Yes I surfed, I caught 2 good waves and 3 others in 5 hours in the water. Rick did his best to be accommodating with a 2 day rescheduling fiasco. But ultimately the guide took 6 of us to the worst spot on the beach. We fought the kelp and weeds on every ride. I have been surfing several times... More

We got surf lessons for our two pre-teen children and my wife and I. None of us had any experience. After a quick discussion of how to get up on the surf board (i.e. surfing), you get in the water and begin to learn. Everyone had a great time.

We had a great private lesson at Dee Why with Ziggy. He was interesting and fun to hang out with, great conversation when we waited for waves and super helpful getting us going. I pretty much wanted to keep him as our personal surf guru for every time we go out now. Really great guy, really fun day.

Just moved to Australia last September and here in the northern beaches late October. I've been determined to get back to surfing after a long time but I have that fear inside me for quite a while because I had a near drowning incident before, due to a bad wipeout in Bali from another surf company. I signed up for... More

Easily the best surf lessons I have ever had. Steve was very knowledgeable and could spot mistakes easily and knew exactly how to correct them. He was also so enthusiastic and stoked to get people surfing, which made the days a lot more fun. I only planned on having one lesson but ended up having four because it was that... More

We spontaniously decided to go surfing, so we hired a board and suits from This shop. Everything was nice and clean and we enjoyed our day a lot.

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
