The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust is responsible for managing two of Australia’s premier sports venues – the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. Both venues are located at Moore Park, only 4km from the central business district and adjacent to the popular bars, restaurants, cinemas and shops of the Entertainment Quarter. Completed in 1988, Allianz Stadium boasts a notable track record of premium events, encompassing Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, major concerts by Barbra Streisand, U2, Red Hot Chilli Pepers, Robbie Williams, Edinburgh Military Tattoo and even the famous operas such as ‘Aida’ and ‘Turnandot’. Allianz Stadium provides the perfect balance between the big crowd atmosphere and intimacy with the on-field action. These aspects, combined with the location of the venue, make visiting Allianz Stadium a special experience for all patrons.

As a sporting venue it is a good but the negatives are that inside it is an aging football stadium it it does have two enormous screens for watching replays and the numerous advertisements that are played before football matches. Getting to this Stadium is the main problem. Do not drive because parking is hopeless. Public Transport or walking to... More

I have been to this stadium a number of times over the years and have always had a good experience. My last visit on Sunday to watch the Waratahs v Crusaders was another good experience. Staff helpful the cues for the drinks not to bad only a 3-5 min wait and the venue clean and organised. The food is a... More

This is a good stadium on that it holds 40000 or so and yet is still close in so you feel part of the action. I've been to football in a corporate area which was excellent, as you'd expect. But also to NrL on the normal seats which was also good. The lines for drinks were terribly slow despite only... More

Had two days at Sydney 7's. Loved it. Seats on day one were in reserved seating northern end and day two we had the back row of the eastern stand on half way. Despite being the back row the view was still good. Stadium food is average, beers $8.20 for mid strength.

Had a great weekend at the 7s. I made a better job of booking shady seats on day 1 than day 2. Rookie error as it can get very hot. BUT...we were only 5 rows back behind one of the interchange benches so it was a great, intimate experience where we could interact with players. Yes Allianz is a bit... More

What a great event the Sydney Seven were over the past three days. Showcasing the women and the men's game. What a shame the event is spoilt in a big way by the typical catering. When families are there all day watching these great games. There are: Pie's, Hotdogs, Chips oh and warm drinks once the first fridge load is... More

We visited Allianz Stadium as part of the SCG tour. The Sydney FC football/soccer team was training at the time which was cool to watch.

Piece of crap stadium with too shallow rake and roof that can't keep out rain (in a very rainy city, rainier than London) and glare from roof lights on opposite side that gets in your eyes. Let's not even start with the crappy position (surrounded by heritage listed posh area) and lack of public transport. Hopefully new tram system will... More

Got tickets for my children to see Coldplay. Drove my car from Wollongong. Planned the trip with my wife to have dinner at nearby Entertainment Quarter while waiting for concert to finish. Parked on grass area $25 (not bad for the only option). Plenty of parking attendants to get your money while entering but absolutely no one when needing to... More

As a concert Venue.. not the best. As a football Venue The best Stadium to watch football in. This stadium was purpose built for Rugby League. Unlike ANZ you are not 2-500 meters away from the action. I like the corporate suites here as you have great viewing and the whilst they are not a "swish" as ANZ you have... More
