It's been nicely done but it's certainly not worth a trip. It's just a some gardens, deck chairs and stairs all set in an old, old reservoir from maybe the 1800's. I saw a segment on tv about it.

The claustrophobic lift down to the lower gardens smelt badly of urine. I visited on Friday Jan 6. Maybe maintenance/cleaning staff had not returned to work. So I chose to walk down the stairs. Some less able folk would have had to put up with the horrible lift.

What a beautiful hidden sunken garden. Spent an hour or two here with friends lounging in the shade on the randomly scattered deck chairs, debriefing on the rest of our weekend. Just by chance there was a guy practicing his guitar playing near by. Felt like we were in a Spanish movie!! Unassuming hidden gem, just lovely. Great place to... More

Lovely gardens set in the old reservoir. Space to sit and relax whilst in Paddington. Used as a photo opportunity by many. A great asset to the city from an industrial beginning

Heaps of wedding shoots are done at the Reservoir which gives you a clue. It's gorgeous. It's opposite the library and the chauval picture theatre. It is fun to explore and there are deck chairs and books left for visitors to spread out and enjoy the sunlit gardens. It's below ground level so there is a feeling of privacy and... More

Great photo opportunities, easy to miss and one of Sydney's invisible gems. Probably my favourite part of this area. Only downside was there were too many groups taking pics, that kind of took away it's chill factor. The place isn't big. But this has only been once of the few times I've visited this place

This is a beautiful example of repurposing an old structure into useable outdoor space. With a lovely mix of ponds, gardens and various little nooks and crannies in the gardens, you will certainly find a peaceful spot to enjoy a coffee and read a newspaper or book. There are chairs dotted around the place or bring a picnic blanket and... More

Decided on a visit to Paddington for the day as not from the area was so looking forward to an array of coffee shops or eateries to chose from. Sadly that was not meant to be (come on Paddington the place is crying out for some good eateries) but did come across this lovely little spot to sit for a... More

A lot of Sydneysiders I know have no idea this exists! Walked from Tiger Mottle to here, passing by stunning old houses. It was in itself a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon... And Paddington Reservoir was the cherry on top. Beautifully manicured garden, plus well maintained structure. There were a couple of pre-nup pictorials that day which we... More
