After you cross the Harbour in one of the ferries (in itself a little holiday), Manly Beach offers an escape from the buzz of the city. It is very relaxed, with palm trees to give it a subtropical look. Great walking around here, and exploring...More

We did the stretch of the MSW from Spit bridge to Manly - approximately 10 km most of which, so it seems are uphill. Lots of small beaches in which to cool down and relax and amazing views of the heads. Bus from Wynyard to...More

The place I wanna go again and again. The best place I have ever visited in my life. The walkway is simply breathtaking.

Highly recommended. I inadvertantly wrote too much about the walks from here under Manly Beach. It is an ideal walk and presents many photo opportunities. It wasn't too crowded when we went and there are refreshments in Manly. Lucky people who live there.

Gorgeous views of the harbour, local homes and if you're lucky some seals, dolphins or penguins playing in the water. Take your bathers and go for a dip if you get hot along the way.

We've been meaning to do this walk for a long time and finally scheduled it in! Only regret we had was not doing it sooner! It is a beautiful walk, clean, fantastic views, we would say level of difficulty was an easy to medium, very...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
