Smaller and less crowded than the famous Bondi Beach. Great spot for picnics. Family friendly, very relaxing.

Coogee is absolutely one of my favorite beaches in Sydney. Such beautiful views, you can walk up to the overlook on the side, to the baths, and apparently there is some excellent snorkeling over there.

Plenty of places to eat and stroll around. Beautiful for a winter's day walk, people were still swimming!

Went for a little 5k trot from Coogee and headed north along the sea side path. Not only was the weather perfect for a run, the hills and steps stopped me getting bored. There should be a similar "feels like" reading that you get with...More

We walked there from Bondi beach which is a complete opposite of Coogee. The walk took an hour and a half but well worth it as Coogee is a very nice place indeed and the folk are very welcoming

Beautiful beach to hang out to. Had picnics and barbies here with friends. Best time to go swimming is early morning when it's not that crowded yet. And with shops and cafes that have amazing vegan food. So definitely I will visit again.

Morning run at the beach is so peaceful, you can find many people exercise in the morning. A lot of cafe and shop makes this place alive.

If you are sick of Bondi Beach (because just admit it, the Bondi Beach is waaayy tooo crowded, at least for me), just stop by at Coogee. It has a great view, with a great space to sunbath, picnic, or play around on beach. And...More

Good beach with new showers and toilets being constructed, safe sea water pool to south end. Lovely grassed area behind beach with communal bbq and shops and bars very close Full lifeguard present. Enjoyed it.

Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the
smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi
Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs
that does not have big waves, making it an excellent
family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right
across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens
in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night
of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity

It's like the Oyster card in London, a card that you can top up with money and use on the public transport. Can be topped up at newsagents and stations.
