My partner and I stumbled across this museum on our way to the botanical gardens. It was awesome and fascinating. We had a mini tour and the guide was extremely knowledgable and lots of fun. The photos are fabulous and the weapons room a bit...More

What are great place to spend a few hours reading about policing and crime in early Sydney. I found this museum a great change from natural history museums and the like. No maybes or buts here, this is evidence and facts and the justice system...More

Our U3A group visited this facility and found it fascinating. Some of our people are going to return again to be able to read and view more of the tools/gadgets used in past times to commit crimes. This facility was still used as a Police...More

This Museum is a quick uphill walk from Circular Quay- so very easy to get to. If you plan it right, you can take part in a mock trial in the actual old courtroom. This was fun, and quite informative. Much history of the City...More

If you are the slightest interested in people and crime in Sydney over the ages, then this is the place to visit. Wall depictions and exhibits have been put together, using old plate photographs found and that have survived the passage of time, to reveal...More

This is an interesting museum very close to the rocks but usually only open at weekends (except in January). It's an imposing building and it's got some fine exhibits, especially the photographs of criminals/suspects from the NSW records. There's a particularly good and frank exhibition...More

The exhibit needs updating. While the photographs, memorabilia, and text are all very well, and the building is very nicely preserved, one's visit could be lengthened if there were more interactive content.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
