We flew in from Canada with tickets in hand for Joe Camilleri a few days after we got to Australia. it was AWESOME we are so glad we took the opportunity. Our name was at the door it was easy to check in no need to search for the ticket you bought a month ago. The venue reminds me of... More

I first started going to this place in the 70's (the Galapagos Duck days). It was always a really cool place to come - so relaxed and laid back with its subterannean atmosphere. Stopped going for many years then came back several years ago. (I'm there for a dinner/show maybe three times a year). It may have been cooler in... More

We opted for the A-reserve dinner and show option. We were shown to our table for 2 which was about 4cm from the next table for 2. They pack the tables in tightly so much that people bang your chair with the back of theirs. Someone tried to squeeze past our table and another and knocked our bottle of red... More

Have visited twice in the last 3 months with other couples. The Music has been great and the food to a very high standard managed by restricting the menu to 3 entres and 3 mains. Service was great. I will keep going back.

Went for the dinner and show option. Lined up for ages to get in- only 1 person checking tickets?! Wait staff were a joke- well intended I think but it's so obvious they are all agency staff with no attachment and certainly no commitment. They knew nothing and had no hospitality instinct whatsoever. Splitting up sections with no incentive for... More

One of the best places to enjoy Seafood varieties for Night Life City Viewers along with music and mocktails. And their live classy music lifts your tour in different level.

Used to LOVE this place. Always be assured of a great night out but it seems to be going through a period of not knowing what it wants to be. From the food to the atmosphere. Shame. Expect it will end up like all other live music venues.

We went to the Monday Jam, which claims to be one of Sydney's iconic music nights. It's a great way to visit The Basement at a very reasonable cost. You never know what you get and who'll be on stage. Really good sound system (try not to sit right under the speakers ) and well stocked bar with a good... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
