I was looking forward to seeing this place as people say its vibrant and filled with people. I didn't get that. Yes, had people in, but they were either begging, walking through in a hurry or handing out leaflets. A lot of construction work was...More

Martin place is quite central and near Hyde park. The Martin Place train station is nearby. This is an open space surrounded by many tall, modern buildings and some older ones as well. Plenty of shops, restaurants nearby. Sometimes busy with events and lots of...More

At least that is what it feels like...it is that busy and lively. Every visitor to Sydney seemed to be congregating there on my recent trip. There were brass bands playing and fair type activities going on during a recent weekend, which made the atmospherre...More

Lovely atmosphere with good lighting. When the weather is good, it’s a great place to walk at night .

Not a destination by itself but certainly worth a walk by or through if you are in the area. I did not visit the art gallery where there was a free exhibition since I was in a hurry.

Martin Place is quite modern. All their buildings look futuristic. Some of them are buildings of art. So attractive! In the middle of it all, there is a square, also modern and has a waterfall. I was impressed by these buildings. Wow! Worthwhile to see!

Martin Place was happening the other day while we were there. There were buskers, mimes and jugglers and a very positive atmosphere. Visitors congregated from all over the world; it was a veritable linguistic Tower of Babel as Spanish, Russian and Cantonese all jostled for...More

Martin Place is a narrow but busy street in the business area of Sydney. A walk during weekdays is the best way to explore the daily life of local residents.
