Caught a very crowded ferry there to find enormous crowds and queues at Watson's Bay eateries so went to The Gap and attempted to walk to South Head. Unfortunately the cliff-top walk ends suddenly due to a military base. Frustrating, so caught the next ferry...More

What a great, quiet little place. This is one of the best kept secrets on NSW. It has a very long esplanade with accommodation right on the beach. We stayed at one of several caravan parks on offer, all with sea views. Off-season prices were...More

Nice bay and beach area near the express ferry to Manly. There’s shade and several restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy. We stayed at the beach for a short while and the bay is very picturesque.

Doyles at Watson's Bay is a Sydney Institution & rightly so. Their takeaway fish & chips are the best, but equally as good is the beach front restaurant. A very civilised way to spend an afternoon.

The Tea Gardens at Watsons Bay (turn right when you exit Watsons Bay Wharf) is my favourite place to meet family with younger children for lunch, or have breakfast, or a coffee. They share their enclosed garden with Watsons Bay Library. It's all fenced off...More
