When international director and closet ghoul Alfred Hitchcock visited...

When international director and closet ghoul Alfred Hitchcock visited Sydney in the sixties this was his infamous point of reference. Locals know, and tourists do not, that this is the last stop for the desperate few, it also a beautiful location for a spectacular scenic cliff top walk that begins at The Gap Park.

A 20 minute ferry ride from circular quay to Watson's bay. Then a short walk up to a viewing point called the "gap". Which refers to the opening into Sydney harbour from the south Pacific ocean. A gorgeous cliff walk, sad because there are regular suicides that occur off these cliff's.

We visited Watson's Bay and had this wonderful walk along the cliff's edge. The walk is hilly and a little rough with some stairs in places. There are lots of places to relax and enjoy the scenery. We enjoyed the fresh air and the breezes. A must see!

It was mostly cliffs & great ocean views. It was very hot that day so after taking photos I was looking for our bus for a/c. Australia as you know is a very hot, & humid place especially in February.

The view from the first flight of stairs in amazing and as you get to the top it's simply outstanding view. You get to see the whole area on the top. We missed it the first time. It's just right above the bus stop at Watsons bay. The easiest attraction to get to. From the city $3.50 from the city... More

This amazing place is hidden near Watson Bay. You will need to walk around 1 km from the nearest Bus stop. You will be blown away by the Spectacular view once you reach there. There's also a a lighthouse there. Overall a great place for relaxation. Highly recommended!

My photos from this lookout still provide me with longing and feelings of how I felt overlooking the sandstone cliffs out into the bluest ocean waters. We drove to this lookout from Sydney domestic airport and the drive was a nice one, taking about 30 minutes in good traffic. There is free parking on the bottom of the lookout in... More

Nice walk along the coast with stunning Pacific Ocean view, sometimes you could even spot those gigantic cruise ship leaving Sydney! It's about an hour walk from the point where the bus terminal is, all the way up till the Lighthouse. There is plenty of bench along the walk where you could sit down and enjoy the breathtaking view. No... More
