The gardens are not as good as the Botanical Gardens but a nice stretch of green at the city edge and a good place to walk with harbour views.

Very much enjoyed my visit to this Park, following a visit to the National Gallery of New South Wales. A rolling green oasis with views of the city skyline. At dusk so many birds congregate here - the kookaburra quite resplendent. Quite a few statues...More

We enjoyed a walk across the Domain on our way to the Art Gallery of NSW. They were setting up for a festival so some of it was blocked off.

On the map, it seems that the Domain encompasses the Botanic Garden, and it would be able to flee from this embrace only towards the ocean. Of course, this idea has no basis because of the Botanic Garden part of the Domain, just like the...More

This park is the site where Mrs. Macquarie's Chair is located; the chair was carved into rock by convicts so she could sit and look at ships arriving from her homeland of England. There are lovely views of Sydney Harbor. It is a restful location.

Covering over 80 acres this is a very big green space, very popular with the locals especially at lunch time, when games of touch, soccer and other team games spring up. Also famous for hosting outdoor events, such as opera, symphony, and concerts. On The...More

Join the office workers having their lunch or a quick jog. You may walk through here on the way to the Art Gallery of NSW. It is a large area and has many places to sit and relax.

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
