Family Astro Tour: This family friendly star gazing tour is designed for people of all ages with limited knowledge of the night sky but have an appreciation of its beauty. The tour is broken into three segments – the past, the present and the future. Past: learn how ancient cultures used the night sky for mythology, orientation and to predict upcoming seasons. Present: an opportunity to explore the night sky with telescopes, iPads and binoculars. Our resident astronomer will point out different constellations, stars and planets. Future: the evening concludes as you sit back and relax, while your guide contemplates what may be around the corner for astronomy and humankind. Astro Tour: This star gazing tour will take you on a fact finding journey through the southern night sky, enhancing your knowledge on astronomy and its beginnings. Your resident astronomer will guide you through the evolution of the Universe. Take a moment to explore the vast night landscape with teh use of telescopes, binoculars and iPads. Learn how stars are formed, why they produce light, the lifecycle of a star, the theory of "the Big Bang" and much more. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to have your questions answered in an Australian outback classroom.

Travelled with another couple who I convinced to come on this tour with us - feel bad I made them waste $92 not to mention the $92 we also wasted on this tour. Was expecting to be told about the Milky Way, information on planets and stars instead we had a laser pointer in the sky trying to draw out... More

Very Disappointing. Firstly the star gazing was not helped by a bright quarter moon. Not their fault. It was held much too close to the Town Square and the road. Information was not as informative as expecting, only had chance to see five things through telescope. I was not at all impressed by the resident astronomer or his assistant, struggling... More

Primarily did this for my 16year old daughter that loves space and astronomy. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it too...it was entertaining and educational. Eddie the guide was awesome, as were Jesse and Dan. We were blessed to have a beautiful clear night. I was worried how I would know what stars he was talking about... More

Just a short walk from the car park at the main centre in Yulara and the night sky unfolds. Telescopes were an expected part of the experience but even better when combined with ipads that name what you are looking at, excellent information from the two guides but best of all ... the laser pointer. Took all the confusion out... More

One of the highlights of our week and a great way to end our trip. The sky was literally awesome. The astronomers knowledgeable and friendly. Our daughter fulfilled her wish to see a shooting star multiple times over and the kids are still talking about seeing the rings around Saturn. We highly recommend.

This was a very interesting and informative tour. There was 2 telescopes and ipads to view the night sky. The highlight was seeing Saturn with the rings around it. The 2 guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and explained everything in detail. A very enjoyable night and highly recommended.

We did the family star-gazing and were wowed by what we saw. There were probably about twenty people in all, but with two telescopes, we all were kept interested at all times. We saw five planets, countless constellations and satellites. We learnt many interesting facts. It was quite chilly at the end of July, so it's worth remembering to dress... More

My wife and I booked this after we saw how amazingly clear the night sky is in the outback. Eddie was awesome and super knowledgeable. We learned all about the stars and planets to start. Then we got to look at a variety of different stars and planets through a telescope. The sky was incredibly clear and it was amazing... More
