This small but fascinating aquarium was recommended to us and didn't disappoint. After a short introductory film the host gave us an individual guided tour and was so knowledgeable that we learned more in a short time than from previous visits to other much larger establishments. The coral pool was something completely different from the normal behind glass exhibit. The... More

Will have to come back for the night display one day. Unfortunately other people cancelled so the night show was cancelled as well. Would recommend to the owner to take at least some prepayment for the night events.

I took the kids - 11, 15 & 16yrs. The host offered a very informative talks about sea life, shells, fish and crabs. The large coral display is super cool and would be awesome to see the evening display. The kids really enjoyed this.

When I entered here, there was no other guest. The guide (or owner) showed me a film at first. The film which introduced sea creatures was not so interesting and I was afraid that it would not end forever. At last, the guide stopped the film and guided me each aquarium kindly. Honestly, the aquariums are old and not so... More

A wonderful display of fish and other sea creatures in tanks. The highlight is the natural coral reef lagoon ecosystem. A very knowledgable guide is happy to engage and answer questions. A great place for kids as well as adults.

If you are looking for a touristy aquarium where you get to handle the creatures this is not the place. This place is much much more!! The owner has a wealth of knowledge and is highly passionate about what he does. The large 'fish tank' (believe me you have to see this to believe it) has amazingly crystal clear water... More

It's an interesting place to be! The knowledge from John is amazing! He will introduce you a whole coral reef which is all alive in a house and you will learn more than you might expect! Thanks a lot John for sharing your knowledge.. It's stunning! Take care Kathrin

Loved our trip to the Pacific Marine at the harbour, the owner gives a guided tour to small groups and has a wealth of knowledge previously unknown to not only ourselves but others within our group.

You will not come across another aquarium like this one. It has a self sustaining coral reef in the largest tank that has been carefully put together by John the owner of this establishment. We last visited this aquarium 23 years ago and it made such a lasting impression on us that we just had to visit it again this... More

From the moment we walked into this place we knew we had made a mistake however we were unable to escape. After 15 minutes of watching an 80's documentary about The Great Barrier Reef and sitting on old garden chairs we were summoned for the tour. Upon entering the aquarium the grilling and lecturing by our tour guide began, a... More
