An absolutely beautiful place and loads of fun with the natural water slide! I really wished I had reef shoes on at all the water places as my feet are really sensitive :/ , plus the climb up the rock to use the slide was really slippy but well worth the fun! A local told us after our return to... More

The falls are set amongst rainforest and are a short easy walk from the car park. There are a number of viewing platforms. Off the bottom platform venture out onto the big rocks to explore and swim in the cool crystal clear water and slide down the rocks. This is a popular spot with many travellers enjoying the scenery and... More

Beautiful spot to stop and have a swim. Husband enjoyed climbing up the rocks, having a swim around and sliding down the natural waterslide. I entertained our toddler well enough watching others but he couldn't do much due to water flow and slippery rocks. Not great if you have young kids but lovely otherwise.

Beautiful clear water and a fun rock waterslide. This was one of the highlights of my trip. Bring old bathers or shorts as the rock slime can stain and the rocks damage fabric. The current can be strong so swimming here is not for children, people who can't swim, or wimps. If bruises and the possibility of a minor cut... More

What can I say, Hhmm, picturesque, green, refreshing, tropical, rocky, magical, fun, truly a Far North Queensland experience not to be missed. I think this is one of the better waterfalls and swimming holes. It has a natural water slide but wear durable shorts as the rock waterslide will destroy anything flimsy. I would also advise wearing river shoes or... More

Its about 1.25 hours drive south of cairns and worth it. Because it had been raining there was plenty of water in the falls and it was nice and refreshing. The swimming hole is nice and deep and quite spacious so even when a few people are there we had plenty of space to swim in. Well worth the drive.

We hired a car to drive around all the waterfalls in the Tableland area. Enjoyed the trip but if you are short of time and you want to have a nice swim and take great photos- Josephine Falls is the place for it. Don't waste your time going anywhere else and forget Mossman Gorge. This is better and the entrance... More

What North Queensland does best - swimming holes. Pure, clear, cold mountain water. Either relax in the rapids for a spa, challenge yourself on the rock slides, or go rock hopping and explore downstream. TIP - Bring a pair of denim shorts to wear on the rock slides or you will wear holes in your swimmers. Not suitable for the... More
