Fall of colour and regional plants

This is a great place to visit, rich in colour and the plants of the region. In addition, on Sundays, there is a really interesting market held there which is well worth a visit.

So much to see and very well laid out. We particularly liked the Rainforest and Japanese Garden. There is plenty of shelter if it is a very hot day with drinking fountains throughout the gardens. We did have lunch in the restaurant which was not great, they had run out of a lot of things and it was still early and... More

What a nice surprise with our jet lag we were up early and walked the botanic gardens. Wonderful quiet walk by the river as well, only thing is be watchful of the cyclist, as there are lots of them

We only live a street away from the gardens and had only stopped there to go for lunch at the cafe. Had the toasted cheese sandwich (which had a French name) and it was delicious - one of the best I've had anywhere. Then we decided to walk around the gardens and were delighted with all the twisty paths and... More

Love the Brisbane botanical gardens! Beautiful plants and flowers with free WiFi and an adorable cafe. Great place to bring the kids for a picnic and it is right near the planetarium!

We popped over to the gardens to visit the BVAC craft exhibition and were impressed with how cool everything was on such a hot Spring day. The cafe menu was a little short on choice but the iced coffees we enjoyed were really good. Many lovely picnic spots can be found in the newer stages of the gardens. There is... More

The best advise is make sure you visit with plenty of time - the gardens are delightful and we sadly had a rush visit - you need at least two to three hours to take in the lovely gardens and to sit relax and watch the wildlife - the lizards especially are very interesting

One of my favourite places to rest and relax in Brisbane. A large area of different local native and international flora, duck ponds, beautiful water lillies, water dragons, one of the best succulent gardens you will see anywhere in the world. There is a great cafe/restaurant here to have a nice breakfast any week day or weekend morning, lunch or... More

We went to the Mt Coot-tha botanic gardens after visiting the Mt Coot-tha summit lookout point, using the same local bus No. 471, just 1 bus stop ride away. The botanic garden is fairly large, but the main areas are easily walkable within 1-2 hours. You may wish to spend more time here if you wish to relax in a... More
