We wandered through this area latish in the afternoon when a lot of people were relaxing and enjoying the sunshine and listening to some of the entertainers singing. It's a very pleasant place to wander, have coffee or a drink, and relax.

Can get very busy in the warm weather. Nice for a walk and there is a few places to stop for food and coffee around.

Southbank had it's share of museums, theatres and halls but the real attraction is the markets, shops and pool, all for families. At nightime there are lots of restaurants to choose from and it is possible to eat in the open air on warm nights....More

I honestly found that South Bank was a bit over-rated. After hearing so much about the markets there and the views, I was a bit disappointed. The market was ok, but in terms of finding good souvenirs or food, I found it lacking, especially in...More

We walked through the parklands today past the lagoon and through the markets set up. One of the lagoon pools is boarded up so getting updated no doubt. There are different pathways and shops to venture through. Enjoy the city and river views.

Visiting from New Zealand in winter, but it was similar to our summer, so the kids loved the pools ( although freezing ), aqua play areas and playground. Food area ok, wish there was some healthier food options though.

We love this place!!! Great for jogging or walking along the river paths. There's plenty of fantastic resturants to dine at across the road or pack a picnic and sit on the grass. If you have children they will absolutely love the new playground and...More

Very accessible, Ramps down to the market area and pool, and lifts up from the car park and up the the second story pubs and restaurants. The rest is all gently sloping paths. But it does get crowded
