A very nice memorial

The city remembers the soldiers lost in World War 1. There are statues and some very unusual trees. Very clean.

Spent about 20 minutes here admiring the interesting monuments as well as some amazing trees! Right in the heart of town- you can't miss it, so worth stopping by and catching up on some Brisbane history!

Some great architecture and statues around this area. Everyone visiting the city should walk through here. Nicely set out. Nice city views.

A lovely kept square to remember those who gave their lives. We were touched by the eternal flame and passed through this beautiful square in awe and silence.

it's a beautiful little spot right in the center of the city. Maybe nothing terribly exciting, but very pretty.

Our introduction to the beautiful city of Brisbane began at Anzac Square where our shuttle bus from the cruise port dropped us. We were greeted there by Brisbane Tourism Volunteers who gave us a quick orientation to the city. We had been to Galipoli and were very aware of the sacrifice of Australiand & New Zealand soldiers during WWI. The... More

This is a true space for reflection and the stare at the flame that burns to remember those who sacrificed so much for what we have now. Everyone who enjoys our modern day freedom should go and spend a little time to remember.

Anzac square is a grassed area where solumn commemoration of fallen soldiers can be respected along with a quiet oasis in the centre of brisbane city. Lunch time crowds sit to eat, chat and take in older surrounding buildings. Recently work has been completed on the shrine and flame area.

Very dignified and appropriate memorial to the ANZAC soldiers and a little haven of peace right outside the main entrance to the Railway Station. Stop a while and say thank you to those who went before. There's a museum underneath to while away an hour or two and learn more about the ANZAC history.

Every Australian Capital City and several towns across the country have ANZAC War Memorials which honor military personnel going back to World War 1 over a century ago. Brisbane's Memorial in ANZAC Square is a beautiful one which captures the solemn occasion of paying tribute to fallen soldiers. Located in the heart of the city and easily accessible by Public...
