The Brisbane River is perfect for adventure, leisure and recreation. Go kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or take a trip on a City Cat. Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. Try Story Bridge Adventure climb, cycle, rollerblade or go for a jog. Dance with the local aboriginal tribe, Mirrabooka or visit South Bank. However you look at it you can't visit Brisbane without experiencing the River. Then cruise out to Tangalooma Island Resort for a must do experience. Enjoy!

The Brisbane River provides a pleasent way to spend a couple of hours, especially if you enjoy either a ferry ride or one of the floating restaurants that ply the river.

Washing our torsos in its healing waters with rumoured reiki powers was challenging with the river cats and assorted water craft about. I collected a large bottle of this pure river water to drink as a health tonic if I fall sick 😷

We spent a lot of time walking along the river by day and evening. So many excellent food places. The Ferris Wheel was a hit and we also took in a performance at the performing Arts Gallery.

Once in Brisbane you´ll have to cross the river via bridge to access the city centre. Its nice to take a walk along the river with nice views on Brisbane.

Perfect weather, it was beautiful. These photos were taken on the Kookaburra Queen. We had a buffet dinner, the food and service was good.

The river is central to the Brisbane landscape, but coupled with the amazing Queensland weather what a walk along the river. I went from the CBD, past the botanical gardens, QUT campus to Southbank in the evening. Beautiful. Pleasant and felt very safe.
