The Brisbane River is perfect for adventure, leisure and recreation. Go kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or take a trip on a City Cat. Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. Try Story Bridge Adventure climb, cycle, rollerblade or go for a jog. Dance with the local aboriginal tribe, Mirrabooka or visit South Bank. However you look at it you can't visit Brisbane without experiencing the River. Then cruise out to Tangalooma Island Resort for a must do experience. Enjoy!

A great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle. Watch out for bikes along the river. Enjoy a drink or dinner from the many restaurants

The lovely condo we rented for our stay in Brisbane is directly on the river. Early every morning we watch the rowers going up and down the river. Many boats (large & small) enjoy the waterway. It doesn't look as clean as I most waterways.

The city around the river is clean with lots to do - however, the river itself is like ost of Australia's rivers in cities. Polluted!

We did a 'walk u'p and were worried we might miss out, but thankfully we were able to join a cruise. It's a lovely trip up a really meandering river, especially if your boat has commentary over the PA. We were able to get drinks...More

It was my way of transportation in the city, I love the place! Very nice during sunset, and also during the night when the buildings and beidges are lightened with beautiful lights.
