Had a few hours to spare while in Brisbane so decided to visit the maritime museum. We were not disappointed at all. We were offered headsets to self tour which we found to be very useful and informative. We learned a lot in a few...More

Really enjoyed the museum. Getting lost wandering around the Diamantina and seeing how rough the ride would have been for naval officers. The main museum was great and interesting. I'm not into ships but I really enjoyed going and recommend it. The mannequins are Brillo!...More

The Maritime Museum is a great place to stop if you are riding a bike along the riverside. You can go onboard an actual warship and see first hand how people on board lived. There is also a very interesting Museum of Maritime artefacts to...More

HMAS Diamantina was an excellent ship to visit, and I was very impressed with the amount of her one was allowed to actually get into. There were practically no restrictions on where you could go, and what you could touch; unlike other ships I've been...More

Heaps of maritime memorabilia on a massive sight under the shadow of the Goodwill Bridge. Definitely good value especially if you have a keen interest in boats and boating history. Quietly surprised.

A gem of a spot to explore. I've often taken visitors there - with a wide range of displays to take onboard. :-)

This museum as been fixed up and all the boats have been brought back to life by volunteers. It is run by volunteers. They have done a great job. So don't expect the uss midway. But interesting displays.

I have been to the museum before, but that was back in 2012. A few of the attractions have been upgraded over time, and I enjoyed my time wandering through the decks of HMAS Diamantina, which is the largest, and main exhibit. My main interests...More

Having never had the opportunity to wander about a naval ship, I found this very interesting to wander about the ship. To see the living quarters, galley and bathroom facilities it gives one a window into how our dedicated naval seamen live aboard ship. The...More

Good to learn about Brisabane's history with the "dry Dock, "diamontina". Ear phones available where you can select a number that corresponds with where you are. It will tell you about that. They are optional & part of your admission fee.
