The boat takes you from Cairns to Green Island and then on to a purpose built large pontoon where all the activities are then based from. I tried the Scuba-Doo, which was great fun and makes you feel like your in a Bond movie, but...More

The boat trip went to Green Island and then to a pontoon parked off Moore Reef. We spent three hours at the outer reef snorkeling and riding in the semi-submersible sub. we wore lycra suits provided on the pontoon in order to keep safe from...More

Our cruise ship put into Cairns but we had no reservations to get to the GBR. Luckily Great Adventures had one more boat going out to their pontoon at 10. We missed all the others. It is well worth the fairly extravagant price (over $250US)....More

Took a day tour to the GBR. The boat trip there was really nice and coffee and tea was served. When we got there we tied up to a pontoon and went snorkeling and diving. Whilst there we had a buffet lunch of bbq, curry...More

We booked this tour in panic, because another company dropped us by not picking us up at the announced time. We have only good things to tell about the tour and the experience on the reef. A nice day on the sea.

We were very excited to dive on the GBR but the experience was extremely rushed (about 20 mins under water) and it seemed more geared towards trying to sell us photos of ourselves as we saw more cameramen than fish. We also had to hold...More

I have been to the reef several times but never to a pontoon. Whilst it was fun there were lots and lots of people. There was plenty to do from intro diving to scubadoo, hell tours, glass bottom boats, semi submersible subs and of course...More

Great trip, just long enough. We travelled to the Outer Reef, and the only elective extra was the 10 minute chopper ride. The snorkelling was amazing with beautiful colours and so many fish. The Semi Submersible was a great way to see the bigger fish...More

I believe there was plenty of room to walk up the ramp to the catamaran and plenty of room to walk off to the barge where your adventure begins. I also agree with everyone else's comments.
