This was a great experience and I highly recommend this attraction to everyone. Having the bus collect us from accomodation means the start of a stress free day. My son loved watching the old train arrive at the station. Even boarding this train is fun....More

We were travelling with visitors from overseas and had booked ahead going up on the train and returning in a diamond view on the SkyRail. Having previously only travelled up to Kuranda either by road or on the SkyRail I was interested to take the...More

We booked online through Skyrail and the service was excellent. It was a bit unclear how to 'book' for children aged under 4, as the child tickets were for ages 4-14, but I phoned to confirm and the young children were added to the booking,...More

We took the skyrail in the morning and the scenic railway back to Cairns in the afternoon, which is much better than the other way around. Both is worth seeing, but definitely expensive. Kuranda is a nice small town.

Unless you have window seats on the train, taking the sky rail both ways is your best guarantee for a view. The ticket price for window seats and non window seats is the same and those occupying the window seats will block any view you...More

We took the train from Cairns station and travelled for 2 hours with great scenery and informative commentry. Stopping at Kuranda village, we explored the shops, the butterfly sanctuary and the pub. Lovely little village and plenty of eateries, shops and markets. We then boarded...More

Kuranda train and sky rail is busy! Cairns makes it’s living from tourism so most attractions are busy! Choosing small group tours will make it easier, make it part of the experience and enjoy the scenery, seats are allocated; we had preferential seating booked; not...More

My family and I took the Kuranda rail up and the skyrail return tour from Travstar. We really enjoyed the experience and the scenery is just amazing. Travelling in the old styled rail buggy had its own charm and is truly an engineering win! We...More

This was a difficult and overpriced tour in my life. It was super crowded and tiring. All you do is sit and be moved around like cattle. The train and cable cars can only go in one direction, unless you pay more. As well with...More

It's for the bus between the railway station and the skyrail depot where your car is. It's a fair distance away.

We did Skyrail up and train down which I think is the most popular combination. Skyrail is one way not to miss.

I would suggest you check for tours to the Daintree Rainforest. It isn't far from Cairns, so you should be able to find one that suits the limited time you will have in the area.
